Cigar Börek Cigar Börek
We eat sigara böregi with tea.or as part of "meze "with rakı. You can find yufka pastry leaves in a Turkish or Mediterranean grocery store, as a whole or triangle shape. But when you open it, your dough will expose to air and can get dry very quickly. I recommend you to use all the dough do not keep in the fridge after you open it. When you open use a damp cloth to cover the dough until you finish preparing. I fried "sigara boregi " but you can simply put it into oven and bake them. You can use potatoes for stuffing or spinach, Rae -
Spinach Pie - Börek (Turkish Food) Spinach Pie - Börek (Turkish Food)
"Börek" is the generic name for Turkish pies. There's various kinds of these pies, but this is the most popular. In Turkey, they use flatbread, but in Japan, I make do with spring roll wrappers. The baking dish should be about the size of the spring roll wrappers, but to keep the egg mixture from boiling over, it's best to use a rather tall dish.Other than the spinach and cheese, you can also stuff this with fillings such as white cheese & parsley or ground meat & potato. Mother’s Swirl Borek Mother’s Swirl Borek
It’s a classic borek type in here. Potatoes, spinach, cheese, leek, or a combination of cheese and a vegetable can be used as filling for the borek. I cheated here and used store bought yufka (phyllo pastry). Normally mom and the other ladies doing this can roll their dough very thinly and make yufkas out of it. Emre Bakan -

Rose Börek Rose Börek
Instead of buying "yufka" to make Börek, make it with your own dough. You can find these bakery products in any international food market. But instead why don't you make your own? These can be frozen after they are cooked and cooled. With this recipe, you will make 24 rose Börek rolls. If you only want to make 12 rolls, use half the ingredients! Rae -
