Slice the pineapple and cut the fish cake into bite-sized pieces.

Heat a skillet over medium heat and add a little cooking oil. Sear the pineapple slices until lightly browned and fragrant. Add the fish cake, then add the seasonings. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer until the flavors are absorbed and the sauce is almost gone.

Transfer to a plate and sprinkle with chopped scallions.
