Ingredients

6 servings
  1. 1/2 cupjowar flour
  2. 3/4 cupurad paste(urad dal soak overnight and grind to paste)
  3. 1/4 cupfinely chopped onion
  4. 1 tbspfinely chopped green chillies
  5. leavesFew finely chopped curry
  6. 1 tspcummin seeds
  7. to tasteSalt
  8. Hot water as required
  9. To serve :
  10. Coconut- coriander chutney

Steps

  1. 1

    In mixing bowl add jowar flour, urad dal paste, chopped curry leaves, green chillies,salt cummin seeds. Mix and add enough hot water to make semi-thick batter. Add chopped onion,mix well.

    Heat nonstick dosa tawa. Grease with oil. Take laddle full of prepared Jowar-Onion batter and spread in circular motion to make uttapam. Sprinkle 1/2 tsp oil. Cook on medium flame.

    As lower part turns golden brown and crispy,flip over and cook other side till it turns golden brown and crispy.

    Serve/ Relish Hot Delicious Jowar-Onion Uttapam with coconut- coriander chutney for Healthy Breakfast Food.

    For coconut- coriander chutney..grind 1 green chilli,a small piece of ginger,1 tbsp roasted gram,1/2 cup grated coconut,1/4 cup finely chopped fresh coriander leaves and salt..in mixer grinder add little water or milk to make chutney like consistency.
