Preheat an oven to 200ºC.

Lay the bacon on a tray and cook in the oven until crispy.

Heat a pan of salted water and set to boil. Cook the macaroni in the simmering water for 10 minutes until just cooked.

Grate the cheese.

Blitz the cooked and crispy bacon up to a crumb along with the parsley and a clove of garlic.

Drain the cooked pasta, return to the hot pan and stir in the grated cheese, crème fraîche and herby bacon mixture.

Scoop the contents into an oven safe tray and add a little more cheese.

Bake for 10 minutes in the oven and serve with a side of salad. Serves 2
