  1. 1 cupAll purpose flour
  2. 1/2 cupSemolina (suji)-
  3. 1/4 tspCarom seeds-
  4. 1/4 tspOnion seeds -
  5. 1/2 tspBaking powder-
  6. 4 tbspClarified butter-
  7. to tasteSalt -
  8. as neededWater - as required
  9. As neededOil - for frying

Cooking Instructions

    Take the all purposeflour, semolina, carom seeds, onion seeds, baking powder and salt in a bowl.

    Mix well and add clarified butter to make a stiff dough.

  3. 3

    Cover the dough with a muslin cloth and keep aside for 15 minutes, divide the dough into small pieces.

    Roll out dough into 1/8 cm thin.

  5. 5

    Fold it and then again fold to make it in a triangle shape.

  6. 6

    Now heat the oil in a non stick pan and deep fry the tikona namkeen on a slow flame till golden brown.

    Serve hot with tea.
