Steps
- 1
Sieve flour, baking powder into a clean bowl
- 2
Add yeast to warm water in a separate bowl and mix. Allow to sit for 5mins until frothy
- 3
Add sugar, salt, ginger and pepper to flour and mix all together
- 4
Make well at the center of the flour, pour in the yeast mixture and mix well
- 5
Add moringa juice bit by bit until a slightly running batter is achieved.
- 6
Cover and place in a warm place to rise for 45mins
- 7
Punch batter to release air and add chopped onions.
- 8
Place pan on heat source, add oil for deep frying. Scoop batter gently into hot oil(don't overcrowd)
- 9
Allow to fry on low heat in order to allow the inside to cook properly. Flip and fry both sides until golden brown
- 10
Place on a paper towel in a colander to drain excess oil. Repeat same process until all batter is finished (don't forget to reduce heat as oil is now very hot)
- 11
And our puff is ready. Serve hot and enjoy with chilled drink of choice. I did enjoyed mine with chilled tamarind juice😋😋😋
