Ingredients

  1. 300 gmsRaw mangoes
  2. 3 teaspoonsred chilli powder
  3. 1 teaspoonSalt or as per taste
  4. 1 teaspoonTurmeric powder
  5. for Tempering:
  6. 1/4 cupgingelly/ Mustard oil
  7. 1.5 teaspoonMustard seeds/Rai
  8. 1/2 teaspoonHing/ Asafoetida
  9. 1 teaspoonFenugreek/Methi Seeds
  10. 6-7Curry Leaves

Cooking Instructions

    Clean and chop raw mangoes into small pieces. Add them to heat proof dish.

  2. 2

    Now add salt, turmeric powder and red chilli powder in the bowl.

  3. 3

    Mix well until raw mangoes are well coated with spices.

  4. 4

    Heat Mustard oil in a pan.

  5. 5

    Add mustard seeds and allow it to splutter.

  6. 6

    Add hing and Fenugreek seeds. Once it crackles, add curry leaves and saute for few seconds.

    Pour tempering immediately over raw mango mixture. Mix well..

  8. 8

    Let it sit on counter for 30 minutes.

  9. 9

    Serve immediately. Store remaining in sterilized air tight container
    Store pickle in cool dry place.
