Ingredients

8 to 10 minutes
3-4 servings
  1. 2freshCorncob (Bhutta, bhuttaa)
  2. 1/2 cupgram flour or as required to make thick paste
  3. to tasteSalt
  4. 1 table spoonfruit salt
  5. to tastegreen chilies finely chopped
  6. 1 1/2 table spoonoil
  7. 1 tea spoonmustard seeds
  8. 8-10curry leaves roughly chopped
  9. 1 table spooncurd
  10. as neededoil for greasing
  11. For topping
  12. corn kernels and sautéed carrot with curry leaves
  13. As neededsalad to serve

Cooking Instructions

8 to 10 minutes
  1. 1

    Grate corns from corn cob and crush them roughly in grinder. Mix corn, peeled and grated potatoes,grated half carrot and gram flour together. Add curd and salt, mix well and keep aside for 3 to 4 hours.

    Add sufficient water to steamer and grease idli mold. Heat till water reach to boiling temperature.

    Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds to it, when they crackles add curry leaves and add the mixture to corn idli batter.Mix well and add fruit salt.

    Again mix well and pour the mixture to idli mold.Steam till cooked. When ready remove from mold and serve hot.

    Serve hot,Topped with
    with boiled corn kernels and sautéed red cabbage with curry leaves.Serve with salad.
