Ingredients

  1. For Vada:
  2. 2Boiled potatoes
  3. 2 tbsp oil
  4. 1/4tea sp hing
  5. 1tea sp mustard seeds
  6. 1tea sp fennel seeds
  7. 1onion
  8. 1tea sp chilli garlic paste
  9. To tastered chilli powder
  10. To tastesalt
  11. To tasteturmeric powder
  12. 2 tspcoriander leaves
  13. 2 tsplemon juice
  14. For Masala
  15. 6garlic
  16. 2Dry red chilli whole
  17. 2 tspwhite sesam seeds
  18. 1 bowlgrated coconut
  19. 2 tsppeanuts roasted
  20. To tastesalt
  21. To tastered chilli powder
  22. 1/2 tsptamarind
  23. Gram flour batter
  24. 1 bowlGram flour
  25. 1/4 tspsoda
  26. to tasteSalt
  27. to tasteRed chilli powder

  31. Cooking Oil for deep frying
  32. Green chutney

Cooking Instructions

    Heat oil in a karahi tv and put hing, mustard seeds and fennel seeds. Roast.

    Add chopped onion and chilli - garlic paste and sauté well.

    Add turmeric powder. Salt and red chilli powder sauté well. Add mashed boiled potatoes and coriander leaves. Mix lemon juice. Sauté to make a paste. Let it cool.

    Now make small lemon sized balls and keep in a plate.

    In a separate bowl make a batter of gram flour by adding water. Mix thoroughly. Add salt, red chilli powder and mix well.

    To prepare Masala paste: Put oil in a pan and add garlic, whole red chilli, sesame seeds and coconut.

    Mix them well and add roasted Peanuts and salt red chilli powder. Mix. Now add tamarind and grind all the ingredients to a paste

    Heat oil in a karahi. Add soda bi carbon to gram flour batter. Mix well. Dip and coat each prepared spiced potato balls in this batter and drop them in hot oil 2-3 at a time and deep fry on medium flame till crispy golden brown. Deep fry 4 green chilli and take out.

    Take buns. Make a cut in between them. Saute on low flame for 2 minutes. Put green chutney, masala paste and the fried masala pakoda between them.

    Fry 4-6 green chilli. Serve hot garnished with fried green chilli on top of it.
