  1. 2 Bowlchopped (Methi) Fenugreek leaves
  2. 3 CupsWheat flour
  3. 3 TspCumin seeds
  4. 2 TspAjwain/carrom seeds
  5. 2-3Green Chillies
  6. 1 TspSugar
  7. 1 pinchAsafoetida
  8. to tasteSalt
  9. as neededWater
  10. as neededOil for frying

Cooking Instructions

    In a pan heat 1 tsp oil and add chopped methi, saute for 2 minutes. Off the flame and allow it to cool.

    Make rough paste of green chilli, ajwain and cumin.

  3. 3

    Now in a mixing bowl add wheat flour, methi leaves, chilli-cumin-ajwain paste, salt, sugar, asafoetida, 2 tsp oil and water as required to prepare a soft dough. Knead dough and rest for 10-15 minutes.

    Now divide the dough in 4 equal portions.

    Now take one portion and roll it. With help of fork prepare small pours on it.

    Now cut it into strips.

    Heat oil in a pan and fry the methi sticks on low to medium flame till becomes golden brown.

    Remove methi sticks and drain out excess oil.

  9. 9

    Crunchy, tasty, yummy Methi Sticks are ready to serve. Enjoy with cup of hot Tea.
