Ingredients

25 minutes
2 servings
  1. 1/2 bowlmoong dhuli dal
  2. 1/2 bowlurad dhuli dal
  3. 1/2 bowlmasar dhuli dal
  4. As required water
  5. As per tasteSalt
  6. 1/8 tspasafoetida
  7. 8-10 pieceswhole black pepper
  8. 8-10raisins
  9. 2 TbspGreen chutney
  10. 2 tbsp Tamarind sounth
  11. 1 bowlcurd
  12. 2 tbspsugar
  13. 1 tsproasted cumin seeds powder
  14. 1 tspchaat masala
  15. As neededCooking Oil for deep frying vadas

Cooking Instructions

    Wash and Soak all 2 dals in water for 4 hours.

    After 4 hours strain the water and Grind it to a smooth paste in a mixer.

    Remove it in a bowl. Add asafoetida and salt to taste.

    Heat cooking oil in a wok. Add 1 - 1 tbsp of dal mixture 3-4 times in oil and deep fry till golden brown colour. Insert 1 black pepper and 1 raisin in centre. Like wise make all the vadas.

    Dip vadas in lukewarm water for 1/2 an hour. Then squeeze it between your palms and remove excess water

    Mix curd and sugar in a separate mixing bowl till sugar dissolves completely.

    Arrange these vadas on a serving plate. Pour green chutney, tamarind south, and curd over it.

    Sprinkle salt, roasted cumin seeds powder, and chaat masala and serve.
