Japanese condensed milk bread

Baking is my passion. I can't keep myself calm without baking or cooking something new every other day. A few days back i baked these Japanese condensed milk bread 🍞 and it came out good in the very first attempt and now its on my list every week. Serve it with tea or even in breakfast.

Ingredients

3-4 hours
8 persons
  1. 1 1/2 cupflour
  2. 2tbslp sugar
  3. 1 tspsalt
  4. 1tblsp dry yeast
  5. 2tbslp condensed milk
  6. 2/3 cupwarm milk
  7. For mixture:
  8. 2tblsp butter
  9. 2tblsp condensed milk
  10. Topping:
  11. 2tblsp raisins
  12. 2tbslp almond (crushed)
  13. 8-10cherries

Cooking Instructions

    In a bowl add all the ingredients of dough and mix it well. Now knead it well with your hand until smooth dough forms.

    Cover and let it rest for 2 hours until dough becomes double in size.

    Now roll the dough on counter top and roll it rectangular.

  4. 4

    Cut in 4 sections and apply butter and milk mixture on every strip.

  5. 5

    Now stack all the parts and again cut in 7-8 sections and put it in the baking pan.

    Now cover and and again let it rest for 30-35 minutes.

  7. 7

    Garnish with raisins and almonds. Bake at 180°C for 20-25 minutes or until done.
