Turkey Chilli Con Carne

My take on a turkey chilli. A carrot can also be added to the recipe or replaced with the peas and a green chilli or fresh chilli of choice can also be added.
I had ran out of ground cumin so didn't add it in but 1 tablespoon can also be added.

Cooking Instructions
- 1
Heat the oil over medium-high heat.
- 2
Add the onions, red pepper, garlic and celery (carrot and fresh chilli if using) and fry for a few minutes until soften.
- 3
Add in the turkey mince and fry until browned. Break up large chunks with the spoon.
- 4
Next add the chilli powder, paprika, oregano, cayenne powder (cumin if using), frozen corn and peas. Mix everything well.
- 5
Add the chopped tomatoes, paste and stock. Mix and bring everything to a boil.
- 6
Reduce heat to a simmer and add the kidney beans. Cover with lid and simmer for 60-90 minutes to get the meat really soft and to reduce the sauce.
- 7
Taste and season with salt and pepper. Stir in the coriander.
- 8
Serve with choice of sides. I served mine with rice and nacho chips.

Easy goulash recipe I make with ground turkey. You can easily make this with ground beef also for a bit more traditional flare. I serve with cheese on top, but is also good with sour cream or other toppings of your choice. bkawa73 -

Hearty Turkey and Bean Chili Hearty Turkey and Bean Chili
One of my favorite chili's to make, it's hearty and healthy, with lots of protein and fiber, and low fat especially if you get lean turkey. It smells absolutely amazing, and the taste matches. Easy to make spicier or less, depending on whose taste buds you're feeding.sgupt

Leftover Turkey Gumbo Leftover Turkey Gumbo
The best way to finish up that leftover turkey. This gumbo is full of flavor and is delicious over rice or without. The day after Thanksgiving and/or Christmas when everyone was tired of eating the turkey, my Mom would take the carcass and smoosh it into a large pot and cover it with water and let it simmer all day in preparation for the gumbo. Then start the roux. The base of any legit gumbo is the roux, which should cook until it is a dark chocolate brown color. #GoldenApron23 Sonya Bankester -

This is another great recipe from Cook’s Illustrated. Be sure to use 93 percent lean ground turkey, not 99 percent fat-free ground turkey breast, in this recipe. Corn tortillas add flavor and help thicken the chili. Ricardo -
Turkey a la King Turkey a la King
This turkey a la King is made from leftover Thanksgiving turkey and the leftover turkey gravy. It produces an incredibly flavorful a la King with a rich but lighter sauce because there is less cream. Straying from the traditional I added jalapeños and left out the peas since my husband will not eat them! fenway -
Turkey Croquettes Turkey Croquettes
This is my version of a recipe I saw somewhere once that was good for leftover turkey. I typically use a low-fat ground turkey the rest of the year when Thanksgiving leftovers are not to be had. You'll see I use egg whites or "egg beaters" egg substitute to reduce the fat. Serve with rice pilaf, roasted red potatoes or mashed potatoes. Freeze and reheat in a toaster oven for a quick meal another day. Use gluten-free breadcrumbs if you wish. Reidphoto -
