Ingredients

  1. 1/2 kgwhole green moong dal/green gram
  2. 300 gmGhee or as required
  3. 100 gmsemolina/fine sooji/rava
  4. 1 tspcinnamon powder
  5. as requiredKhand or Powdered sugar as required (adjust as per your sweetness)
  6. 1 cupchopped dry fruits (cashews,raisins, almonds and charoli)

    Heat a pan and dry roast the green whole moong dal in two batches.

    Dry roast till you see it turns to light brown(you will get its aroma while roasting it & transfer immediately to a plate to cool down.

    In the same pan, add little amount of ghee and roast the dry fruits and keep aside to cool & make a coarse powder of it. (Except the raisins and charoli). In the same pan,roast the semolina for 2-3min and transfer this into a bowl,to cool completely.

    In a blender,add the dry roasted moong dal and make a fine powder and keep aside.

    Now heat a wok,add ghee and saute the moong powder in ghee till you get the aroma and it changes to bit brown in colour & mix this with the semolina.

    Add the coarse nuts, cardamon powder,Khand or powdered sugar along with it and mix well.

    Start shaping the laddus when it's hot and you can manage to hold on your palms and keep on a wide plate to cool.
    Whole green gram/moong laddus are ready to eat.

    Tip:- Suppose if the mixture gets cool and your unable to shape the laddus then,add in some amount of hot ghee to the mixture,mix and shape the laddus when you can bear the heat off it.

    Note:-The amount of the laddus depend on how small,medium or big size you make.
