Ingredients

  1. 2 cupswheat flour
  2. 1/2 cupsuji
  3. 1/2 tsphalf crushed cumin seeds
  4. 1/2 tsphalf crushed ajwain seeds
  5. 4 tbsppure ghee
  6. 1/2 cupghee
  7. 1/4 tspbaking powder
  8. 1/4 tspbaking soda
  9. as per taste Salt
  10. For Dal
  11. 1 cupmix dal.. Tuver chana masur green mung dal black udad dal
  12. 1onion finally chopped
  13. 1tomato finally chopped
  14. 2 tbspoil
  15. 2 tbspghee
  16. 1/2 tspcumin seeds
  17. 1/2 tspturmeric powder
  18. 1/2 tspred chilli powder
  19. 1/2 tbspgaram masala
  20. 1 tbspgreen chilli paste
  21. 1 tbspginger garlic paste
  22. as per taste salt

Cooking Instructions

    Take flour and add crushed ajwain cumin seeds salt baking powder and baking soda..mix well then add 4 tbsp pure ghee and Knead steaf dough with water cover and rest it for 1/2 hour

    Take washed and 2 hours soaked dal in pressure cooker and cook well

    In pan add oil cumin seeds and add onion and tomato..add all masalas and satute till soft..then add dal adjust water to maintain consistency..cook for five minutes

    Lastly add tadka of ghee and red chilli powder

    Now make small balls from dough.preheat cooker for 10 minutes..add ghee and add batis in cooker

    Cover it with lid without ring.. gas flame must be very slow.. after every 5 minutes flip batis..it will ready in 20 to 25 minutes. Dip in ghee & ready to eat with dal
