Ingredients

  1. For dough:-
  2. 2 cupswhole wheat flour
  3. 1 tspsalt
  4. 1/2 tspcarom seeds
  5. 3 tbsprefined oil
  6. as neededWater
  7. For stuffing
  8. 3big potatoes boiled and mashed
  9. 1medium onion finely chopped
  10. 2green chillies finely chopped
  11. 1 tspginger finely chopped
  12. 1 tspcoriander powder
  13. 1/2 tspred Chilli powder
  14. 1/4 tspturmeric powder
  15. to tasteSalt
  16. 1 tspcumin seeds
  17. 1/4 tspasafoetida
  18. as required Chopped coriander leaves
  19. as requiredOil for frying
  20. 2 tbspcorn flour+3 tbsp ghee

Cooking Instructions

    In a mixing bowl take wheat flour, add carom seeds and salt. Mix well. Add oil and combine the flour in a binding manner.then add water little by little and knead it.make a semi soft dough.cover and keep aside for 10 minutes.

    For preparing stuffing heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan.add cumin seeds and asafoetida Saute 3p seconds add finely chopped onion, ginger and green chillies. Saute until they turn golden brown.

    Add mashed potatoes cook for a minute on medium flame. Now add salt and all powder spices mix well and cook for 3-4 minutes. Add chopped coriander leaves mix and switch off the flame. Allow to cool it completely.

    In a bowl add corn flour and ghee mix well and make a smooth paste. Keep aside

    Take the dough knead 3-4 times again.transfer on kitchen counter and roll it in a cylindrical shape..with a sharp knife cut into 7 equal parts. Make smooth balls from it take one ball and cover the rest.

    Roll one ball like a big and thin roti as shown in below pic.prepare all rotis.take one roti and apply a thin layer of corn flour paste all over on the roti.

    Dust some fliur on it and Place other roti on it and again apply the paste.dust little flour and repeat the same process with all rotis. At last there has prepared a thick layer of rotis apply the paste on the top of the last roti and dust some flour.

    Roll it from one side and Make a tight roll.roll in one direction.now cut into equal pieces. take a part and slight press with your palm.

    Dust some flour and roll it like a small medium thick roti.cut this into square shape and remove extra parts.put some filling in the middle apply water on the edges and fold it.

    Prepare all patties like wise.heat oil in a kadhai when oil is medium hot add the patties. Fry the patties on Medium hot oil until they turn golden brown.

    Remove from oil and place on absorbing paper. Serve these puff patties hot with tomato ketchup
