Ingredients

4 people
  1. For the Dhokli
  2. 1 cupwater
  3. 1 teaspoonoil
  4. as per tastesalt
  5. 1 teaspoongreen chili, ginger & garlic paste
  6. 1 teaspoonMirchi/chili powder
  7. 1 teaspoonHaldi/turmeric powder
  8. 1 teaspoondhanajiru/coriander powder
  9. 1 cupbesan/chickpea flour
  10. 1 teaspoonoil
  11. For the Gravy
  12. 2 tablespoonsoil (can be reduced to preference)
  13. 1 teaspoongreen chili, ginger & garlic paste
  14. to tasteSalt
  15. 2 teaspoonsdhanajiru/coriander powder
  16. 2 teaspoonsMirchi/chili powder
  17. 1 teaspoonHaldi/turmeric powder
  18. 2 cupswater
  19. 2 teaspoongaram masala
  20. 1/4 cupchopped coriander
  21. 1/4 cupgreen garlic
  22. as required Curd for garnish

Cooking Instructions

    Heat a pan and add water, oil, and salt. Then add green chili, ginger & garlic paste.
    Add chili powder,turmeric powder and coriander powder.mix it well.

    Add besan
    Keep staring at it and cook for 5 minutes
    When the batter is thick, switch off the flame.

    Next, grease a plate. Transfer the dhokli batter to the plate

  4. 4

    Once it cools down, cut it into small pieces and keep them aside.

    The next step is to make the curry. Heat oil in a heavy bottomed pan on medium flame.

    Add green chili, ginger & garlic paste. Then add salt, coriander powder, red chili powder, and turmeric powder. Add water into it.

    Add garam masala into it. Mix everything and cook on sim till the curry starts boiling. This may take 2 to 3 minutes. Now add the diced dhokli, simmer, and allow to boil for 3 to 4 minutes. Switch off and garnish with coriander leaves, green garlic, and curd.
