Ingredients

  1. 12-15Bhavnagari Chillies
  2. 125 gmsBesan
  3. 3 tspSalt
  4. 250 gmsPotatoes
  5. 1 tspChilli powder
  6. 2 tspAmchur powder
  7. 2 tspCoriander powder
  8. 1/4 tspAsafoetida
  9. 2 tspFennel seeds
  10. 1 tspGreen chilli
  11. As Per RequiredWater
  12. As RequiredSunflower oil / Any oil for frying

    For the filling, first peel potatoes,
    Boil nd mash the potatoes.

    Now, mix the potatoes with 2tsp salt (to taste), chili powder, amchur powder, coriander powder, asafoetida, finely chopped green chilies, crushed fennel seeds.

    Wash the chilies and wipe them dry. Make a lengthwise cut to open them up on one side and deseeded.

    Fill the chilies with potato mixture.

    Mix the besan with 1 tsp salt and enough water to make a smooth and thick batter.

    Heat the oil in a large pot. The oil is hot enough.

  7. 7

    Roll the chilies in the batter to cover them evenly all around.

    Fry chilies to low-medium flame, until they are golden brown.

  9. 9

    After that, take out the fried chilies and let them drain on tissue paper.

  10. 10

    Serve hot with tomato ketchup or green chutney.
