Rava Burfi is a delicious, aromatic, rich and mouth melting Indian sweet which my Mom always made for Diwali. Rava burfi is made with rava, ghee, coconut powder, sugar and milk. Traditionally Indian burfi was made using different ingredients and each home had their own way of making it.

Ingredients

  1. 1/2 cupDesi ghee
  2. 1 cuprava
  3. 2 tbspmilk powder
  4. 2 tbspdeccicated coconut powder
  5. 1/2 cupwater
  6. 1/2 tsprose essense
  7. 👉 For Garnishing :--
  8. 2fresh rose petals as per required
  9. 2 tbsppistachio, almond and cashew nuts pieces as
  10. as requiredSilver varkh

Cooking Instructions

    First of all, heat ghee in a pan on low gas flame, add rava to it, mix well and roast till the color of rava becomes a little golden while stirring continuously.

    Now when the rava is roasted, add milk powder and desiccated coconut powder to it, mix well and roast it on low flame for 1 minute. Now take the mixture off the gas and let it cool.

    Now add sugar and water in another pan and mix well to make 1 string syrup. After the sugar melts, immediately put a drop of syrup on the plate and cool it down and check the syrup on a string.

    Now when it becomes a 1 string of syrup, turn off the flame and add rose essence to it and mix well.

    Now add roasted rava to this syrup and mix the mixture properly by stirring continuously. Now when the mixture gets a little thick, put butter paper in a dessert tray, grease the paper with ghee, spread this mixture in it and level the mixture.

    Now sprinkle chopped fresh rose petals, pistachios, cashews and almonds pieces on this amrut paak and garnish it. After that cool this paak and cut pieces as desired and garnish with silver foil.

    Now our very yummy and soft Amrut Paak is ready to serve.
