Ingredients

12 pieces
  1. 1big boiled beetroot
  2. 2big boiled potatoes
  3. 1medium carrot
  4. 2 tbspfinely chopped green capsicum
  5. 2 tbspgreen chilli ginger paste
  6. 1 tsplemon juice
  7. 1 slicefresh bread
  8. Salt to taste as required
  9. For slurry:
  10. 1/4 cupmaida
  11. Water as required
  12. Bread crumbs to coat as required
  13. Oil for frying as required

Cooking Instructions

    Peel and grate boiled beetroot in mixing bowl. Peel and grate boiled potatoes. Peel and grate carrot.

    Add chopped capsicum. Grind fresh bread slice and add in mixing bowl. Add green chilli ginger paste, lemon juice,salt. Mix well to prepare tikki mixture.

    Make heart shape tikkis with prepared beetroot veggies mixture with help of heart shape cookie cutter. Keep aside.

    Dissolve maida in water to prepare slurry. In dish spread bread crumbs.

  5. 5

    Dip each heat shape beetroot tikki in maida slurry and coat with bread crumbs. Keep aside.

    In small frying pan add heat oil. Gently drop prepared 1-2 tikkis in hot oil. Deep fry tikkis on low medium flame till crispy golden on both sides.

    Serve Relish Delicious Hot Beetroot Tikki with tomato sauce, green corainder - mint chutney.
