Ingredients

  1. 1 cupBajri atta / pearl millet flour
  2. 1/2 cupmethi leaves (chopped)
  3. 1/4 cupCoriander leaves (chopped)
  4. 1/4 cupLila lehsan / Green Garlic (Chopped)
  5. 1/2 teaspoonAjwain / Carom Seeds
  6. 1/2 teaspoonAsafoetida/ Hing
  7. 1/4 teaspoonTurmeric powder / haldi
  8. 5Garlic cloves (chopped)
  9. 1 pieceGinger, inch long (grated)
  10. 4Green chillies (finely chopped)
  11. 1 teaspoonSesame seeds
  12. 1/2 cupCurd (Whisked)
  13. 1 tspSalt
  14. 1/4 cupOil for greasing

Cooking Instructions

    Wash and chop Fenugreek leaves and also green chilli and ginger. Collect all the ingredients.

    Take a mixing bowl and put all ingredients together to form a thick batter. Adjust consistency with water and add all the dry masala and salt.

    Heat pan and pour a spoonful of batter to form small Chamchamiya (pancakes).

    At this stage, you can Sprinkle some sesame seeds. But I have added in the batter. Apply oil on both sides while cooking to make crisp outers.

    Serve Bajri na chamchamiya immediately with tomato ketchup or chutney of your choice.
