Ingredients

15 min + 3 days fermentation
4-5 people
  1. 1 litrewater (filtered or boiled and cooled)
  2. 1small beetroot peeled and chopped
  3. 1carrot 🥕 peeled and chopped
  4. 1 tbspblack mustard powder grind coarsely
  5. 2 tspblack salt
  6. 1/4 tspred chili 🌶️ powder
  7. 2 tspnormal salt / according to your taste

Cooking Instructions

15 min + 3 days fermentation

    For kanji ~
    mix everything together in a glass jar or ceramic bowl.
    Cover with a thin muslin cloth and keep it in sun for 2-3 days.

    The mustard will get whitish in colour and come on top and kanji will get a sour taste.
    Then it's ready to use.
    Stir it and keep in fridge.

    Can be stored for 15-20 days in fridge. You can enjoy the beetroot and carrots with the kanji or use it in wraps (it will tastes like pickles)

    Enjoy this healthy delicious winter drink in the morning or afternoon.
