Ingredients

Prep time -10 mins, Cooking time -25 mins

  1. For Besan Bari
  2. 1 cupBesan
  3. 1 tspred chilli powder
  4. 1/2 tspturmeric powder
  5. 1 tspcumin seeds
  6. 1/8 tspsalt
  7. 1/2 cupwater
  8. 4-5 Tbspmustard oil
  9. For Kadhi
  10. 1 cupBesan
  11. 2 cupswater
  12. 1 tspcoriander powder
  13. 1/2 tspturmeric powder
  14. 1 tspred chilli powder
  15. 1/8 tspsalt
  16. 1 tspAamchur powder
  17. 1 sprigcoriander leaves chopped
  18. Tempering
  19. 1 Tbspmustard oil
  20. 1bay leaf
  21. 1whole red chilli
  22. 1/2 tsphing

Cooking Instructions

Prep time -10 mins, Cooking time -25 mins

    In a bowl add Besan, cumin seeds, red chilli powder, salt, turmeric powder and water. Make a paste.

    In a wok heat mustard oil. Add the Badi and fry on medium flame till golden colour. Add in a bowl of 2 cups water for 10 mins

    In the same bowl, add Besan, coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, salt, mix, add water and mix well

  4. 4

    In a wok add the Besan liquid and on low flame simmer for 15 mins, add amchur powder and simmer for 5 mins. Keep stirring at all times

    Add the Badi and simmer for 2 mins, add chopped coriander powder.

    Tempering - in a wok heat mustard oil, add cumin seeds, whole red chilli, bay leaf and hing, add to Kadhi Bari and mix

  7. 7

    Plate and enjoy 😊
