Ingredients

  1. 2 tspOlive oil
  2. 4 lbBoneless chuck roast
  3. 1Onion
  4. 2 clovegarlic
  5. 1 tspSalt
  6. 1/2 tspblack pepper

Cooking Instructions

    preheat oven to 325°F

  2. 2

    Heat dutch oven on top of stove over medium high heat

  3. 3

    Sear all sides of meat in oil

  4. 4

    remove meat from pan

  5. 5

    arrange onion and garlic in bottom of pan and sprinkle with salt and pepper

  6. 6

    return meat to pan and cover

  7. 7

    Cook in oven for 30 minutes at 325

  8. 8

    reduce heat to 300 and cook for 1 and a half hours

  9. 9

    remove roast and let rest for 10 to 15 minutes

I am making this today the only thing I'm having problems with is how to make the brown gravy come alive or is that when it's almost done?
