A friend of mine gave me a random bag of fish that had been frozen for who knows how long. I needed a recipe that would cover any unwanted flavors and still be safe and good. This is a meld of an old chowder recipe and a fish stew I found in a midevil cookbook. Joe Thorstensen -

This is my daughter’s slightly modified version of Chrissy Teigen’s One-Pot Seafood Stew with Skillet Flatbread. After making it a few times, we made some tweaks, and now we can’t get enough of it. Great for when your grocery store has a sale on seafood! Adrianne Meszaros -

Stews often seem time-consuming, but this seafood stew, bursting with fresh ocean flavors, can be made in under 20 minutes! Italian fishermen used to throw a mix of freshly caught seafood into a deep pot and cook it on the boat. Try this delicious fisherman's dish at home! jj5色廚Translated from Cookpad Taiwan -
California Farm Fish Stew Bouillabaise California Farm Fish Stew Bouillabaise
Now that excellent fish stock can be made from shrimp bouillion cubes, I no longer simmer whole fish overnight. The shrimp bouillion is used to make soup from braised tomatoes, carrots, celery, onion, garlic, potato, fennel, saffron, herbs, all fresh from the garden. Just before serving, frozen white fish, frozen cooked mussels and frozen raw shrimp are added. Served with Sour dough bread with a special sauce called rouille. Follow this 12 pint recipe even if you cook for only two people, so you have all ingredients in each pint portion for freezing. Hobby Horseman -

Salmon is great from autumn to winter. But rather than just grilling it, I tried preparing it in various ways. With that in mind, I wanted to make this heart-warming dish!If you add some carrots, it's even more full of vegetables! If you don't prepare the salmon and oysters before putting them in the pot, they won't cook through. This extra step for the salmon and oysters results in a truly delicious dish. Atlantic Cod Stew Atlantic Cod Stew
Oh, look at the fish, Sara. It's so white and appealing, truly tempting to the taste buds, haha. Oh, I have a story to share. Atlantic cod is moderately priced and not as oily as sablefish. Its texture is somewhat similar to sablefish but not as soft that it breaks with just the tongue like sablefish....Lately, I haven't been buying sablefish, and if I go to a restaurant that offers it in a set menu, I avoid it because some places use oilfish and sell it as sablefish (Sable/Black Cod)....Oilfish is very cheap, and many countries have declared it as a fish for industrial lubricant extraction, not for human consumption....Simply put, if you find a place where the grilled sablefish with soy sauce is coarse but oily like real sablefish, it's likely oilfish....For frozen ones, if the fillet is smaller than your palm and has yellowish lines on the white cross-section, it's definitely oilfish (oilfish is smaller than real sablefish). Note: Real sablefish usually doesn't have its scales removed because the scales are a unique feature that shows authenticity. Fake sablefish will have the scales removed to pass off as real, and the price difference is significant. If you find sablefish priced the same as cod, be cautious; it's likely oilfish (which is cheaper than cod). ครัวหมีอวดเมียTranslated from Cookpad Thailand -
