Crockpot Honey Sesame Chicken

Ingredients

  1. 1.5 lbsboneless, skinless chicken thighs
  2. 1/2 cuphoney
  3. 1/4 cupsoy sauce
  4. 1/2 cupdiced yellow onion
  5. 1/2 cupcanned tomatoe paste
  6. 2 tspApple cider vinegar
  7. 1 tbspvegetable oil
  8. 2 clovesminced garlic
  9. 1/4 tspred pepper flakes
  10. 1 tbspcornstarch
  11. 1 tspsesame oil
  12. Salt & Pepper
  13. Sesame seeds for garnish

Cooking Instructions

    Season chicken with salt and pepper and place in crockpot

  2. 2

    In a small bowl combine/mix together tomatoe paste, vinegar, soy sauce, honey, vegetable oil, garlic, onion, and pepper flakes

  3. 3

    Pour your mixture over top of chicken and cook on low 3-4 hours or high 1-2 hours

  4. 4

    Remove cooked chicken from crockpot, but leave the sauce.

  5. 5

    Dissolve cornstarch in 1/3 cup of water and mix into the sauce that has been left in your crockpot

  6. 6

    Add sesame oil to crockpot.

    Cover crockpot and let cook for 10-15 mins-until sauce thickens a bit.

    In the meantime..shred your chicken into bite sized pieces and return chicken to your crockpot

  9. 9

    Add sesame seeds for garnish!
