Ingredients

  1. 1 cupSago pearls (Sabudana)
  2. 1 cupwater (to soak)
  3. 2 tbspPeanuts (coarsely chopped)
  4. 2slit Green chillies
  5. 3-4curry leaves
  6. 1potato (diced)
  7. 1 tbspoil
  8. 1 tspCumin Seeds (Jeera)
  9. Salt to taste (Senda namak)
  10. to tasteBlack pepper
  11. Juice of 1 lemon

Cooking Instructions

    Wash Sago pearls under flowing water 3-4 times to rid them of starch. You should be able to see clear water before you move to next step.

    Soak the washed pearls in water for 4-5 hours.

    Drain excess water if any.

    Take oil in a nonstick Kadhaai and add cumin seeds and Curry leaves.

    Add peanuts and chillies and stir fry.

    Add diced potatoes and fry till soft.

  7. 7

    Add soaked sago pearls, salt, black pepper and mix.

  8. 8

    When the pearls turn translucent, add lime juice and serve hot.

  9. 9

    Garnish with coriander and coconut flakes (optional)
