My daughter loves pho and she's been craving it during home isolation. It's a long weekend and i have time in my hands to do this... don't think I'll ever cook for 10 hours again though 🤣

Please spare min. 8 hours to prepare the soup base. Wash shortribs and in water till boiling. Turn to low flame to shimmer.

In a seperate pan, with little oil to saute garlic and onions and whole black peper till browning - and pour into shimmering soup base. Add fish sauce, rock sugar and salt. Continue to shimmer and skim fats om the top layer of soup.

After 8 hours, shortribs would be falling off the bones and you'll be getting a rich brown soup base. Add frozen meatballs / bakso into the soup till it floats.

Prepare a seperate potong to boil dry pho/kwetiau till soft (approx 6-8 mins).

In large serving bowls, place uncooked bean sprouts (toge) at the bottom of the bowl and pour hot pho/kwetiau on top. Place meatballs and shortribs on top of the pho. Add strained soup and topped with all the herbs and sauces. Enjoy
