Ingredients

  1. 1 cupRice
  2. 1 cupToor dal
  3. 1 cupChopped onion
  4. 1 cupChopped tomatoes
  5. 1 cupChopped Carrot
  6. 1 cupChopped beans
  7. 1 cupChopped potatoes
  8. 1 cupDrumstick flesh
  9. 3 tspSambar powder
  10. Fortadka:
  11. as requiredOil, Mustard, hing and curry

Cooking Instructions

    Cut 3 to 4 drumsticks into medium pieces and pressure cook it for 2 whistles. Peel out the flesh of the cooked drumsticks and rest aside

    Wash the rice and toordal twice, pressure cook it for 3 to 4 whistles. Smash off the cooked dal rice when it is warm.

    Heat 3 tbsp of oil in a heavy bottom vessel add the tadka ingredients.

    Add onion, tomatoes, salt followed by all the vegetables one after the other. Saute it well and add 3 tsp of sambhar powder.

    Add 6 cups of water. Allow it to boil nicely. Add the smashed dal rice into it. Cook till the rice thickens.

    Add some coriander leaves. Bisibelebath is ready to serve.
