Soup is an amazing appetizer before a meal or the main course.

This Cream of mushroom soup is a simple recipe of soup where I have sauteed mushrooms with butter and added a basic roux, thinned with cream and milk.

It's very comforting and creamy, perfectly apt to please your guests.

Ingredients

5 minutes
4 servings
  1. 200 gramsfresh button mushroom
  2. 3 tablespoonsall purpose flour
  3. 1 tablespoonbutter
  4. to tasteSalt
  5. to tastePepper
  6. 3/4 cupwater
  7. 1/2 cupmilk
  8. 1/4 cupfresh cream

Cooking Instructions

    Clean and wash mushrooms. Chop them into pieces.

  2. 2

    Heat butter in a pan and add mushrooms.

  3. 3

    Saute till they turn golden and oozes out the extra moisture. Add salt and pepper and saute.

  4. 4

    Add flour and mix, so all the mushrooms get coated with flour.

  5. 5

    Saute for few more seconds, so the rawness of the flour is gone.

  6. 6

    In a bowl mix milk, cream and water and add to the mushrooms.

  7. 7

    Cook until the liquid starts to thicken.

  8. 8

    And you get one boil.

  9. 9

    Add a tablespoon of cream on top

  10. 10

    Serve hot and enjoy.
