Ingredients

  1. 1 cupbasmati rice
  2. 1onion chopped
  3. 3green chilli
  4. 2 tspginger garlic paste
  5. 1/2 cupgreen peas
  6. 3cardamom
  7. 3cloves
  8. 1 inchcinnamon
  9. 2 tbspchopped coriander
  10. 2 tbspoil ground nut
  11. 1 tbspghee
  12. 2 cupwater
  13. As required Salt
  14. For grinding ingredients
  15. 2 tbspgrated coconut
  16. 4almond
  17. 6cashew
  18. 2 tbspyoghurt

Cooking Instructions

    Wash rice grains 2-3 times in water to remove excess starch. Soak them for 20 minutes. Washing them will also prevent them from becoming sticky while cooking. After 20 minutes, drain soaked rice.
    Take blender add grated coconut, cashew, almond, curd and blend it smooth paste keep aside.

    Heat ghee and oil in a pot or rice cooker Add cinnamon, cloves, cardamom and sauté for few seconds.

    Add chopped onion and sauté until it turns light brown.

    Add ginger-garlic paste and chopped green chillies and sauté low flame for a minute. Then add green peas and grinding paste sauté well.

    Then add water mix it well. You may need to add more or less water depending on the rice. Then add salt taste the water and check the salt. If needed add more.once the water comes to boil add rice and cook on a high flame for 5 minutes.Then cook on a very low flame until the rice is done.

    Transfer peas pulao to a serving bowl or plate. Garnish with raisin s and cashew s, coriander leaf.serve with green peas rice any chicken curry, mutton curry and enjoy.
