Ingredients

25-30 minutes
5 servings
  1. 2 cupsAll Purpose Flour or Maida
  2. 1 tspSalt
  3. 1 cupchopped Spring Onions
  4. 1 tspGhee or Clarified Butter
  5. 1/8 tspCarom Seeds or Ajwain
  6. Water as needed for the dough

Cooking Instructions

25-30 minutes
  1. 1

Make a hard yet a pliable dough out of all the ingredients listed under the dough preparation. Do not keep any unused dough in the refrigerator. Make sure to knead only the required amount of the dough that's needed for that day. Use fresh dough each time you wish to eat these yummy pooris because onions leave a lot of water and hence makes the dough loose and unfit for cooking.

  2. 2

Divide the dough into golf sized balls. Roll them with light hands. Deep fry in hot oil on both the sides. Keep an eye while frying. Check the oil temperature. If it is too hot, reduce it a bit and if it has become less hot, increase the flame accordingly.

  3. 3

It is advisable to roll all the pooris or the bhaturas at first and keep them covered with a cloth. Deep fry one by one after that. Serve them hot with aloo or chole masala. Or just with some mouthwatering lemon pickle just as i did. It's your choice. Enjoy!

Homemaker by choice and a passionate cook by heart. An aspiring cook who actually never knew anything about Cooking until i became a mother myself. With Motherhood came the responsibilities as well and this was the turning point in my life.I started to learn the ABC's of cooking, taking help from my mother and my MIL. And time just flew. I spread my wings higher and higher. With my love for excellence and innovation, i stepped into a world of homecooks with my exposure to Cookpad one fine day on the social media. And there was no looking back since then and i have not only shared recipes here on this wonderful platform but also have made some lovely friends as well. Today iam successful because of my hard work, dedication and loads of good wishes of my family and my kids in particular.
