Cooking Instructions

The poha should be washed thoroughly with water and kept in a thick basket to drain the water. So that the pohas will not touch each other and will be separated very well.

Heat oil in a pan, add peanuts and roast them.

Now remove the peanuts and add mustard seeds, cumin seeds and asafoetida to the same oil.

Add chopped green chillies and curry leaves and saute well.
- 5
Add chopped onions and saute for 1 to 2 minutes, add red chilli powder, coriander seeds and turmeric and mix everything well.

Now add sugar, kasoori fenugreek and salt to taste.

Add washed poha, roasted peanuts and lemon juice.
- 8
Everything has to be mixed properly so that the onion poha will be ready.

This Onion Poha can be served hot garnished with green coriander.
