Ingredients

  1. 1 lit milk
  2. 5dates
  3. 1 cupthin vermicelli
  4. 1/2cupsugar
  5. 5cardamom
  6. Available nuts
  7. 2 pinchsaffron

Cooking Instructions

    Take all the needed ingredients. Soak saffron in a hot water.

    I and a heavy bottom pan add milk and start boiling. In the mean time,add ghee in other pan,fry all the nuts and keep aside,then add vermicelli to the same pan roast a bit and take out.

    Once the milk boils add saffron and mix. The colour changes. Then,add dates and chopped nuts and roasted vermicelli.

    It take 10mts at least to cook vermicelli. After that milk starts thickens.

    Now add sugar and wait until it dissolves. Add more sugar as per taste. Finally add cardamom powder and mix.

    Adding saffron and dates are differentiate this kheer from our south style vermicelli kheer.

    That's all. Delicious Sheer Khurma is ready.
