  1. 2/ MackerelAayala - cut into medium or big pieces
  2. 1Green chilli -
  3. 1 sprigCurry leaves -
  4. 1 1/2 tspnsVinegar -
  5. Salt
  6. Oil
  7. To Marinate
  8. 1 tspnRed chilli powder -
  9. 1/2 tspnTurmeric powder -
  10. Salt
  11. To Grind
  12. 1Ginger small - piece
  13. 5 - 6Garlic - podes
  14. 1 tspnRed chilli powder -
  15. 1/2 tspnTurmeric powder -
  16. pinchGaram masala powder - a
  17. pinchfenugreek powder -a

Cooking Instructions

    Clean the fish pieces well and make some slits in them.Marinate the pieces with chilli,turmeric and salt.

    Keep aside for 30 mints.

    Meanwhile,make a smppth paste of all the ingredients listed under to grind by adding very little water.

    After 30 mints,heat oil in a pan.Fry the fish pieces till they are golden brown on both sides.Take care not to make them crispy.

    The fish pieces should remain juicy inside.So always keep the flame in medium and fry the fish pieces.

    Now in the same oil.Add green chilli and curry leaves.Saute till they are roasted well.Now add the prepared paste.Saute well till

    Raw smell goes and oil starts to seperate.Add 3/4 cup water.Let the gravy boil.Then add the fried fish pieces,vinegar and enough salt.

    Cover and cook till the gravy gets thicker.Remove from fire and serve hot with steamed rice.
