Ingredients

  1. 1 cupmoong dal (soak)
  2. 1finely chopped onion
  3. 1finely chopped green chilli
  4. 1 tspfinely chopped garlic
  5. 1 pinchasafoetida
  6. 1/4 tspred chilli powder
  7. 1/4 tspturmeric powder
  8. 1/2 tspcumin seeds
  9. 2 tspghee
  10. 2whole red chilli
  11. 1 tsp or to tastesalt
  12. 1 tspchopped green coriander leaves

Cooking Instructions

    Boil this dal with water, turmeric powder, salt in pressure cooker till to 2-3 whistles.

    Heat the ghee in a pan add hing,cumin seed when they start to sputter.

  3. 3

    Add green chilli, garlic, whole red chilli and onion and cook till to till golden.add red chilli powder and salt mix well.

  4. 4

    Add this tempering in dal and adjust the thickens with extra boiling water.serve hot with roti and rice.
