Ingredients

25-30 minutes
3-4 servings
  1. 250 gramspaneer
  2. 3medium size onions, chopped
  3. 2medium size tomatoes
  4. 1/2-1 cuppeas (matar)
  5. 3 tbspcurd
  6. 1-2 inchginger
  7. 1sukhi Lal mirch (dry red chilli)
  8. 1green chilli
  9. 2Choti elaichi
  10. 1dalchini (cinnamon stick)
  11. 2-3cloves
  12. 1 tspjeera
  13. 1/2 tsphaldi
  14. 1 tspcoriander powder
  15. 1 tspjeera powder
  16. 1 tspgaram masala
  17. 2-3 tbspoil
  18. 1/2 tspsugar
  19. 1 tbspkasuri methi
  20. to tasteSalt
  21. Handfulcoriander leaves

Cooking Instructions

25-30 minutes
  1. 1

    Heat oil in a pan and add cloves, jeera, Choti elaichi, cloves, sukhi Lal Mitch, cinnamon stick and saute for 30 sec.

    Add onion, green chilli, pinch of salt and cook until the onions becomes transparent.

    Add the tomato and ginger paste and mix well.

    Add coriander powder, cumin powder and cook for 5 minutes on medium flame.

    Add curd and red chilli powder and mix well.

    Add green peas,mix it well and cook for 5 minutes on high flame.

    Add 1-2 cups water and salt to taste, cover it and cook for 5 minutes more on low flame.

    Add paneer cubes,sugar, garam masala, kasuri methi and mix well. Again cook for 2 minutes by covering at low heat.

    Garnish with coriander leaves.

    Serve hot

    Tip 1- Generally the paneer we bought from the market are hard and gives a little bitter type taste.To remove this bitterness you can cut the paneer into cubes and then put them in hot water with 1 tsp salt for keep it aside for 10 minutes.Then drain the water and wash the cubes with fresh water.

    Tip 2 : for making tomato and ginger paste. You have to take 2 tomatoes and the ginger and grind it in a mixer.
