Sarso ka saag with makki ki roti

Ingredients

  1. For sarso ka saag:
  2. 250 gmmustard leaves
  3. 125 gmbathua leaves
  4. 240 gmspinach leaves
  5. 240 gmfenugreek leaves
  6. 2Onion
  7. 1 tspginger
  8. 4-5garlic
  9. 2-3Green chilli
  10. 1 tspRed chilli powder
  11. 1 tspGaram masala
  12. to tasteSalt
  13. For makki ki roti:
  14. as requiredMaize flour
  15. as requiredWater
  16. as neededGhee
  17. 1/2 tspAjwain
  18. to tasteSalt

Cooking Instructions

    Clean and chop all the greens and then wash them again running water to remove dirt. Repeat the process 3_4 times.

    In a pressure cooker add all the ingredients and cook it for, 8-10 minutes.

    Put the greens along with stock and blender and blend it for a minute.

  4. 4

    Take a bowl and pour the blender greens in it. Now take a pan add the greens and simmer it for 20-25 minutes.

    In another pan, heat oil or ghee add the chopped onions and saute them till brown. Add the prepared saag and stir fry them. Keep stirring for few minutes.

    For makki ki roti:

    Mix all the dry ingredients in a bowl. Add half of the water and knead well. Add more water if required.

    Using hai cling film. Roll the dough and make small size balls of the dough.

    Roast the makki ki roti on a tawa with a few drops of ghee until it's brown and thoroughly cooked.

    Serve hot with sarso ka saag.
