Cooking Instructions

Brown the beef in some oil.

Once browned add some water, half a cup to start, cover and let simmer till the meat is tender (10-15minutes) or until the water is drained.

When the beef is sizzling, add some oil, then add your whole spices (cinnamon, cumin and 4 cloves) and onions.
Cook covered until the onions are soft (around 5 minutes) - 4
Once they start to brown, add your garlic ginger paste, sautée till fragrant, then add pilau masala. Mix well, add tomato paste and stir

Once incorporated, add water (1.5 cups for each cup of rice) taste and adjust your salt.
Mix well, then add rice - 6
Cook uncovered till the water reduces like in pic 1, then reduce to low flame, cover with foil and your pot cover. Let steam on very low heat for till your rice is cooked
