#my style sweat the onions, wash your unpeeled bananas well then peel putting them direct to the sauce pan that had a sweated onions NB no cleaning after peel and let them boil. Bring them to boil and after they are almost ready peel the ripe bananas and place on top then simmer.

After some time add in the tamarind sauce NB be careful not to add so much so that it can balance with the sweetness of ripe bananas, give it some time and mash end product
- 3
Wash your vegetables, fry the tomatoes to soften, then add in your chopped veggies and simmer. Nb be careful not to overcook

End product is here yummiest

Fish in coconut curry Fish in coconut curry
Fresh fish swirlling in a sea of coconut curry. True authentic Swahili dish I must say.I learnt this special dish from my mother the traditional way. A hot charcoal burner, that stone made pestle and mortar, the coconut grater you sit on.....they conjure memories of a lifetime. Delight your senses to the wonders of East African cooking which has origins of Arab, Indian and African elements combined. The fresh herbs and spices tingle and tantalise your taste buds into a frenzy. Riffat -
Curry Potatoes with Peas and Carrots Curry Potatoes with Peas and Carrots
I love Indian food. My favorite dishes to eat and make are curry potatoes and tikka masala. I have tweaked each recipe to a point that I feel like they're as perfect as they'll get. As I make it, this curry is not spicy, because I pair it with a spicy tikka masala and the flavors balance perfectly. If you want to spice it up, use hot curry powder in place of the regular curry powder or add up to 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper. This also works extremely well as a vegetarian main dish. StephieCanCook
