Ingredients

  1. 3 cupsPoha
  2. 2small Potatoes
  3. 1 tspMustard Seeds
  4. 2 tbspoil
  5. Pinchhing (Asafoetida)
  6. 2 tspsugar

Cooking Instructions

    Peel and chop the raw potatoes

    Add oil to wok (Kadhai) and add the raw potatoes till they turn golden brown. Remove them and keep them aside.

    Add hing, mustard seeds, green chillies, julienne sliced onions to the remaining oil. Saute till the onions are cooked.

    Meanwhile, wash and soak the Poha for few minutes till the onions are cooking.

    To the soaked Poha, add turmeric, salt according to your taste, sugar and Lemon juice. Mix well.

    In the Wok, once the onions are cooked add the spiced Poha and mix well. Add some of the fried potatoes and keep others aside. Switch off the flame, cover the Poha and let it rest for 2-3 minutes

    Garnish with finely chopped coriander and the remaining fried potatoes.

  8. 8

    Serve hot. Pair it with Jalebi and hot Ginger tea(adrak wali chai). It is one of the best combinations
