Cod & Chorizo Stew
This is a long standing favourite weeknight dish of mine. It’s quick, with minimal prep and it’s super tasty #myfavouriterecipe
Cooking Instructions
- 1
Fry the chorizo and spring onions in garlic oil until the chorizo oil is released.
- 2
Add the tomatoes, paprika and garlic oil. Half fill the empty tomato can with water and add that in to. Simmer for about 30 mins on the job until the tomato sauce has reduced down.
- 3
Add in the corn and mangetout, then nestle your cod fillets into the tomatoes. Put a lid on the pan and keep simmering gently for 15-20 mins (depending on the size of your fillets).
- 4
Serve with crusty bread or rice. I put the broccoli on the side because I didn’t fancy putting it in the pan.

Spanish Cod Fish Stew ala Alvarado Spanish Cod Fish Stew ala Alvarado
During my years in Madrid, my family and I would have this stew once a week to keep home dinners less complicated yet enjoy the most sustainable fish we could buy. The recipe calls for fresh cod not to be confused with salt cod. When possible, ask your fish monger to cut out the loin of the long portions that are found in their cold case. A hearty loin is less likely to break up in the simmer than a thin filet.Rob Alvarado

A winter dish particularly loved in Northern Greece. If you make it with wild boar, it takes the dish to another level.Try it with sauerkraut... it's a unique taste sensation!!!In the authentic recipe, we don't deglaze with wine and use only paprika, not tomato. Greek Yogurt Butter Chicken Stew Greek Yogurt Butter Chicken Stew
Got this recipe from NYT Cooking when I was feeling a little adventurous (don't know what to cook, more like). It's savory and although reminds me of curry, it is not spicy at all. Goes great with rice. There are a lot of ingredients on the list so, adjust to suit taste. There's no sugar in original article, I just like to make a little sweeter) Marsha M -

I caught a cold for the first time in a long while. It sucks.Ever since I was small, this stew has been our family's cold remedy. If you use too much katakuriko, then the soup becomes too stiff. For the side vegetables, almost anything works. Enjoy the vegetables with this tender textured soup. Recipe by mmmmmio cookpad.japan -
