Paella with Frozen Seafood Mix and Vegetables 🥘

This paella is made 100% with frozen ingredients! Well, at least the protein part 😅
It turned out great, and it's always good to have a few ingredients on hand that you can use any time you need a quick meal!

Cooking Instructions
- 1
Heat a paella pan with a little olive oil and add the chopped onion. Sauté briefly, then add the bell peppers and cook until everything is softened.
- 2
Once the vegetables are soft, add the frozen seafood mix and cook everything together for 2 to 3 minutes. Add salt. Pour in the water and bring the paella to a boil. Once boiling, reduce the heat to medium and simmer for 30 minutes to make the broth. Add the food coloring halfway through cooking.
- 3
Once the broth is ready, add the rice and spread it evenly across the pan. Cook over high heat for 9 minutes, then reduce the heat to medium and cook for another 7 minutes. If you want a crispy bottom (socarrat), turn the heat to high for 1 minute to toast the bottom. Turn off the heat, cover the pan with aluminum foil or a clean towel, and let it rest for 5 minutes. Ready to enjoy!

If you want to make paella but don't have much time or money, I recommend trying this recipe! It's quick and budget-friendly! I made it with a frozen seafood paella mix you can find at any supermarket (since I obviously can't afford fresh seafood 😂), and it turns out delicious. Seafood paella is always delicious. I made this one as I went along, just like my mother used to make it and as I remember it. If you prefer a mixed paella, once the vegetables are sautéed, add the meat and brown it, then continue with the rest of the recipe. You can also add whole shrimp or other types of fish if you like. I hope you enjoy it. Diana RodriguezTranslated from Cookpad Spain -
