Ingredients

  1. 1 cupcubed (500 gm) paneer
  2. 1 cupshelled green peas
  3. 1green chilli
  4. For the Gravy:
  5. 1big onion chopped
  6. 1 tsppeeled cloves of garlic-ground with onions
  7. 1 tspchopped ginger
  8. 1/2 cuptomato-grated or puréed
  9. 2 tbspoil
  10. 1 tspcumin seeds
  11. 1bay leaf (tej patta)
  12. 1/2 tspturmeric powder
  13. 1 Tbspsalt
  14. 1/2 tspgaram masala
  15. 1/2 tspred chilli powder
  16. 1 Tbspcoriander powder chopped coriander leaves, for garnish

Cooking Instructions

    Blend the onions, garlic and ginger to a paste.

    Heat oil and add the cumin seeds and the bay leaves.
    Add onion paste and saute till brown and fat separates.

    Add tomatoes, turmeric, salt, garam masala, red pepper and the coriander powder, and stir-fry till fat separates.

    Add the peas, paneer and the green chillies and saute over high heat till glossy.

  5. 5

    Add two cups water, bring to a boil and simmer for 5-10 minutes.
    Serve hot, garnished with the coriander leaves.

    Enjoy with garam garam paranthas or simple tawa chapati
