Ingredients

  1. For OnionTomato Paste
  2. 1 cupRoughly chopped Onions
  3. 1 cupRoughly chopped Tomatoes
  4. 2 tablespoonOil
  5. 4 to 5 Cashews / Kaju
  6. 4 to 5 Garlic Cloves
  7. 1 tspChopped Ginger
  8. 1/2 tspSalt
  9. Other Ingredients
  10. 300 gmCottage Cheese / Paneer Cubes
  11. 1/2 cupFinely chopped Onions
  12. ¼ cupFinely chopped Coriander Leaves
  13. 1/2 cupGreen Peas / Matar
  14. 1/2 cupWater
  15. 2 tablespoonOil
  16. 1/2 tspCumin Seeds
  17. 1/4 tspTurmeric Powder
  18. 1 tspRed Chilli Powder
  19. 1/2 tspCoriander Powder
  20. 1/2 tspGaram Masala
  21. 1/4 tspCumin Powder
  22. 1/2 tspSalt
  23. 1 tspSugar
  24. 1 tspFresh Cream / Malai

Cooking Instructions

    In a heating pan add 2 tablespoon of Oil and allow to heat.

    Then add 4 to 5 nos of Cashews (Kaju), 4 to 5 nos of Garlic Cloves, 1 tsp of chopped Ginger, 1 cup of roughly chopped Onions and sauté for few min or until Onion changes the colour.

    Add 1 cup of roughly chopped Tomatoes, ½ tsp of Salt and cook for 5 Min or until Tomatoes are soft.

    Then blend the cooked mixture in a mixer grinder and blend into the smooth paste.

    Then in the same pan, again add 2 tablespoon of Oil and allow to heat.

    Add ½ tsp of Cumin Seeds (Jeera), 1 tsp of Red Chilli Powder, ¼ tsp of Turmeric Powder (Haldi) and mix well.

    Furthermore, add ¼ cup of finely chopped Onions and sauté for 2 Min.

    Then add ½ tsp of Coriander Powder (Dhaniya), ½ tsp of Garam Masala, ¼ tsp of Cumin Powder (Jeera), ¼ cup of finely chopped Coriander Leaves and mix well.

    Then add the blended smooth paste into the pan and mix well.

    Add ½ cup of Green Peas (Matar) and mix well.

    Then add ½ tsp of Salt, 1 tsp of Sugar, 1 tsp of Fresh Cream (Malai), ½ cup of Water and mix well.

    Finally add 300 gm of Cottage Cheese (Paneer) Cubes and give a nice mix.

    Cover the lid and cook on medium flame for 2 Min.

    Matar Paneer is now ready, garnish with fresh Coriander Leaves and serve with Naan / Roti or Rice.
