Ingredients

  1. 2 bunchesspinach (palak), chopped
  2. 2radish (mooli) with leaves, chopped
  3. 2tomatoes, chopped
  4. 1large onion, chopped
  5. 1 inchginger, chopped
  6. 7-8garlic cloves, chopped
  7. 1-2green chilli chopped
  8. 1 tspRed chilli powder
  9. 1small onion chopped (for tadka)
  10. 1 tbspbutter
  11. 1 tspgaram masala
  12. 1 tbspmakki aata (maize flour)
  13. 1/2-1 cupwater
  14. to tasteSalt
  15. 2 tbspghee
  16. For (Ingredients for makki Roti)
  17. 2 cupsmakki aata (maize flour)
  18. 1/2 cuphot water
  19. as required Ghee or butter for roasting
  20. For (Ingredients for chaas)
  21. 1 cupcurd
  22. 2 cupswater
  23. 1/2 tspRoasted crushed cumin
  24. Pinchdried mint powder
  25. 1/2 tspblack salt

Cooking Instructions

    Take a pressure cooker add chopped palak, chopped mooli,ginger, garlic, green chillies, onion, tomato, salt and water cook for 10 minutes.

    Add makki aata mix well.

    Once cooled blend into a smooth paste.

  4. 4

    Add saag in another pan add red chilli powder, garam masala mix well and simmer to 7-8 minutes till thicken.

    (For Tempering):- Take a pan heat ghee add ginger, garlic saute for a minute add onion saute for 2-3 minutes.

    Add this tadka over the saag simmer for 2 minutes.

    Serve hot palak saag with butter & makki roti.

    (Makki ki Roti):- In a mixing bowl 2 cups makki aata add hot water to the flour mix and knead a dough, cover and keep aside.

    Make a small size balls of the dough and flatten them.

  10. 10

    Sprinkle some makki flour on the rolling board.

  11. 11

    Begin to gently roll with a rolling pin (or press with your fingers move it clockwise use flour if required)

    Heat tawa place makki roti on hot tava roast for both sides.

    Spread butter/ ghee on hot makki roti and serve.

  14. 14

    (Chaas):- Take a blender add curd water blend till smooth. Add black salt, cumin powder, mint powder mix well ready to serve.
