Ingredients

30 minutes
10 servings
  1. 5 cupsrava/ suji(200ml)
  2. 2-3onions (thinly sliced)
  3. 10green chillies (slit)
  4. 4 tbspncoriander leaves (chopped)
  5. 5spring curry leaves
  6. 2tspn mustard seeds
  7. 2tspn urad dhal
  8. 3tspn channa dhal
  9. 4tspn broken cashew
  10. 10 cupswater (2 litres)
  11. To tastesalt
  12. 1/4 cupoil
  13. 2 tbspnghee

Cooking Instructions

    Dry roast rava/ suji till aromatic. Keep all ingredients ready.

    Heat oil in a kadai,add mustard seeds after it cracks add urad dhal and channa dhal. Fry till color changes.

    Add curry leaves, cashews and green chillies. Saute for a minute.

  4. 4

    Next add onions and fry till translucent. Add coriander leaves and salt. Saute for 2 minutes.

    Add water and allow to boil(1 cup Rava: 2 cup Water). Lower flame and slowly add roasted rava stirring continuously to avoid lumps. Mix well till water is absorbed and cover with lid for 2 minutes.

    Add ghee and mix well. Serve hot with coconut chutney or sugar.
