Ingredients

  1. For the spices
  2. 1 tbspcoriander seeds
  3. 1 tbspcumin seeds
  4. 2-3cardamom
  5. 1 tbspfennel seeds
  6. 2-3cloves
  7. 2cinnamon stick
  8. 2red chili dry
  9. 1 tbsppeppercorns
  10. 1nutmeg
  11. 1 tbspturmeric
  12. For gravy
  13. 1large onion
  14. 3-4garlic pods
  15. 3 tbspyoghurt (plain)
  16. 4green chilis
  17. 2-3 tbspginger paste
  18. 300 gmmutton (neatly cut and cleaned)
  19. 2large potatoes (cut in halves)
  20. 4-5 tbspmustard oil
  21. 2-3 cupswarm water

Cooking Instructions

    Dry roast the spices (cumin, coriander, peppercorn, red chilli, cloves, cardamom, cinnamon, nutmeg) and mix well with yoghurt, ginger paste and turmeric to make a paste and apply to mutton and keep refrigerated for 12hrs.

    Fry the potatoes separately and keep aside, similarly fry the onions with green chilis and garlic till it turns brown.

    Pour the mutton mix over the same pan with the gravy and potatoes and sauteed for few minutes.

  4. 4

    Transfer the contents to slow-cooker and turn it high for 2hrs flipping in between and serve hot with steamed rice.
