Egusi soup with palm fruits

Ingredients

  1. Palm fruits
  2. Egusi (melon)
  3. Meat(of your choice)
  4. Stockfish
  5. Dry fish
  6. Ukazi leave
  7. Crayfish
  8. Dry pepper
  9. Seasoning
  10. Periwinkle without the shell(optional)

Cooking Instructions

    Boil the palm fruits, pound and extract the juice then set aside.

    Boil your meat till tender, add your washed stock fish, dry fish, pepper, crayfish and periwinkle (without the shell)

  3. 3

    Pour the extracted palm fruit juice and allow to boil

  4. 4

    Add the grinded egusi and allow to boil further

  5. 5

    Now bound the sliced ukazi leave just a little to break the long length

  6. 6

    Add your seasonings to test and let it boil. Finally add your ukazi leave

  7. 7

    Voila! Your soup is ready. Note, no thickener is needed as the banga acts as thickener too.
