Easy & Low-cal Steamed Bread

My eldest son loves chocolate but hates strawberries, and my younger son loves strawberries more than anything else, so I came up with this really easy recipe that would be a compromise to their preferences.

This only takes 15 minutes: 3 minutes to prepare the ingredients and 12 minutes to steam. Use any fillings you like and enjoy for breakfast on busy mornings. You could also use cake flour instead of rice flour, and milk instead of soy milk. Recipe by TandT

Ingredients

2 servings
  1. 4 tbspRice flour (cake flour)
  2. 1 dashBaking powder
  3. 1 tbspSugar
  4. 4 tbspSoy milk (or milk)
  5. 1Fillings of your choice

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

Measure the flour, baking powder and sugar (I used brown sugar), and mix with a measuring spoon.

  2. 2

Add the soy milk and mix well.

  3. 3

Pour half of the mixture into each muffin cup, and add fillings of your choice. The one on the left is strawberry, and the one on the right is chocolate chip.

  4. 4

Give it a mix. Use a skewer, a chopstick, the end of a spoon or just your finger!

  5. 5

Place in the steamer and steam for 12 minutes. Keep the lid on while they're steaming!
